Re-founded as an organization in 2014, the Cal Poly Democrats hopes to be an enduring and effective voice for Liberal students and values. To this end, the Cal Poly Democrats seek to promote discourse, inclusivity, and engagement in the political process.
We further these goals with all of our activities as a group. In the 2016-2017 academic year some of our actions included:
-Giving hundreds of hours to help elect Salud Carbajal to Congress in our swing district -Organizing an empowerment summit -Discussing our post-election role

-Attending the California Democratic Convention -Hearing from Congressional Candidate Salud Carbajal -Inviting the Planned Parenthood Action Fund to Campus -Hearing from Supervisor Adam Hill and Supervisorial Candidate Eric Michielssen -Endorsing Candidates as a club for the first time
